Celebrating Cookie Cravings & A KitchenAid Mixer Giveaway
*Update-this giveaway is now CLOSED! The winner is Heidi Knipple (#118). Congratulations! Thanks to everyone who entered and to KitchenAid for providing this fabulous giveaway! We hope you are enjoying our first e-Cookbook, Cookie Cravings!
Today is a very exciting day! Our first e-cookbook, Cookie Cravings is now on sale! For the past couple of months we have been working with Heidi Larsen, of Foodie Crush, to create a book ALL about cookies. The book includes 30 cookie recipes, 15 favorite recipes from our blog and 15 new cookie recipes that I created specifically for Cookie Cravings. The 15 new recipes haven’t been published or seen anywhere else! All of the recipes include gorgeous photos, photographed and designed by Heidi. We are beyond thrilled with how the book turned out and I think you will be too.
To celebrate the launch of Cookie Cravings, we are giving away a KitchenAid 7-quart Stand Mixer. I love my KitchenAid Mixer and use it every time I bake a batch of cookies-which is just about every day:)
Before we get to the giveaway, let’s talk about the book! Cookie Cravings is a 78-page downloadable e-cookbook featuring our all-time favorite cookie recipes. The book is filled with beautiful photography, stories, recipes and comes to you in an easy to navigate PDF format.
We also created a bonus e-cookbook, Cookie Days, which is a 20-page downloadable e-cookbook featuring a week of recipes and new photography from a few of my blogging baking buddies including: Picky Palate, Brown Eyed Baker, Kevin and Amanda, Eat, Live, Run, Confessions of a Cookbook Queen, How Sweet It Is, and Recipe Girl. Cookie Days also showcases seven baking bloggers I consider “cookie decorating artists.”
And we didn’t stop there, we are also offering a bigger package that includes Cookie Cravings, Cookie Days, and lots of fun downloadable goodness including:
- Printable gifting labels for a year of special occasions from ChicSprinkles.com
- Printable Kitchen Conversion Chart

My favorite cookie is the simple sugar cookie! Yum!
It has been over four years since I’ve eaten a cookie, they’re just not my thing to eat. But to make, that’s a totally different story! That said, the first recipe I memorized, at age six, was my great grandmother’s oatmeal cookie recipe. It is made to bend to the whim and pantry contents of the baker, becoming oatmeal chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, sometimes with cinnamon, maybe nuts, but the glory is in the balance of sugars and detailed instructions. It never fails to produce flawless, chewy cookies with crisp edges, perfect amount of rise and spread, and- my favorite part- the most delicious dough.

Oh man….White chocolate macadamia nut!!
Maria, want to try your chocolate toffee almond cookies from the book. I can’t find hershey’s special dark cocoa. Better to use Droste dutch processed? Or a natural cocoa like hershey’s or ghirardelli? Re the toffee bits, do you use the heath bits that also have milk chocolate or the bits of brickle without? Finally, do you use blanched or roasted almonds? and salted or unsalted? Thanks so much!

You can use Dutch process cocoa. I have used both of the toffee bits. I usually do the Heath bits with chocolate though. I use blanched almonds, unsalted. Although, both would work! I love sweet and salty:)
Made the chocolate toffee almond cookies from your book today. Amazing! We are so loving them! Thanks so much!
What a dream it would be to win the Kitchenaid mixer. My favorite cookie is the chocolate crinkle cookies, followed by the chocolate chip with toffee bits and pecans.
