Two Peas and Their Pod

Chocolate Chip Cookie Milkshake & A Blendtec Blender Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed! The winner of the Blendtec Blender is…comment #2,476: Suzi who said: “ I am a subscriber, “liker”,everyday reader, tweeter etc… But that’s beside the point. I need the whole blendtec package because it’s surely the quickest and most efficient way to feed my growing family. Although you don’t have any big peas in the teenage pod yet, you’ll soon find out how rapidly food can disappear, so the blendtec will help me out immensely!” Congratulations! We will email you! Thanks to everyone who entered!

It is no secret that I adore cookies. Everyone always asks what my favorite cookie is and I can never answer. I have over 100 cookie recipes on our site and I love each and every one of them. I am always tempted to answer chocolate chip though. You can never go wrong with a good chocolate chip cookie. I decided to turn one of my favorite cookies into the ultimate summer treat-a Chocolate Chip Cookie Milkshake.

We almost always have homemade cookies on hand at our house. I saw a dozen chocolate chip cookies sitting on the counter and decided they would make a great milkshake. I told Josh my idea and he immediately got out our Blendtec blender. We added vanilla ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chips, and milk. We let our Blentec do the work while we watched with excitement. I couldn’t wait to taste this milkshake.

Josh poured the shake into glasses and we topped them off with whipped cream and a few chocolate chips. I broke a chocolate chip cookie in half and stuck a half in each of our glasses. I grabbed two straws and we were happily sipping away on our chocolate chip cookie milkshakes. This is the best milkshake I have ever had-hands down. It is a cookie lover’s dream shake!

I used this chocolate chip cookie recipe for the shake, but any chocolate chip cookie recipe will do. I will have to try this shake with my Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies and the New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookies. See I like to many cookie recipes:)

If you are looking for a sweet summer treat, try this Chocolate Chip Cookie Milkshake. It is a dream dessert for cookie and ice cream lovers.

And now for a fantastic Blendtec blender giveaway! We used our Blendtec blender to make this shake. We have tried a lot of different blenders in our days and we usually end up throwing them out because they never work. Not the Blendtec though! We LOVE our Blendtec. It is a dream machine! It blends everything to perfection and I mean everything. We’ve blended smoothies, ice cream, sauces, dressings, nut butter, etc. It blends everything with ease-even ice. I have been on a smoothie kick lately and our Blendtec makes the best smoothies. It has a special smoothie button that creates perfect smoothies every time. I don’t have to shake the blender like mad for it to grind the ice. It does it all on it’s own.

Josh is obsessed with the “Will it Blend Series on YouTube.” If you haven’t seen any of the videos, you have to check them out. They are fun to watch. Tom Dickson, the star, blends anything and everything in the Blendtec-including an iPhone and iPad. So cool!

We have been eating a lot of shakes lately, so that would be the first thing I would make!

I would make my husband his favorite fruit smoothies first, since he has been over seas for a year now, but he will be home this summer, and I know he would love to have some of his favorite fruit smoothies again. I would also make this chocolate chip cookie milkshake for me and my daughters, it looks so good!!!!!! This bender would come in great use, as my blender just actually broke!!!!

I would make a fruit smoothy with chard or spinach for my mother. She’s 84 years old suffering with pain from shingles, lost her appetite and is down to 80 lbs. When I went home I took my blendtec, made her smoothies and she said it made her hungrier so the extra nutrition perked up her appetite.

The first thing I would make is homemade ice cream! You gotta blend everything up before putting it in the ice cream freezer. Mmmmm…..homemade strawberry ice cream!

I’m taking a break from studying for my med school anatomy class… and I think a green smoothie to power me up would be GREAT right about now…

Fantastic! I would make a green smoothie–I make one every single morning in my very sad, very old blender. It takes a long time and involves lots of poking it with a spoon to get everything blended–I’m sure the Blendtec could make an amazing smoothie in a quarter of the time!

I would love love love to win this blender. I’ve been without one for almost a year since it broke. I think my little one would love smoothies this summer. I’ve made a few using my food processor (surprisingly they weren’t too bad) but know they will be so much better using a blender. :)

Oh my goodness this would be amazing! I just had my gallbladder removed and so I’ve got a really strict diet right now. This would make meals so much easier! I’d make a fruit smoothie first thing!

The first thing I’d want to make with the Blendtec Blender would have to be a delicious fruit smoothie! With the heat of the summertime, nothing is better than a cold, sweet smoothie!
