Coconut Green Smoothie

Some people get weirded out by green food, but not me. Green is my favorite color and I love green foods! I can’t think of a green food that I don’t like. Well, unless the green food is green because of mold or lots of dye. I like fresh green foods:)

I make green smoothies all of the time. I usually make my standard Green Smoothie recipe, but last week I decided it was time to mix things up. I made a Coconut Green Smoothie and holy moly is it good!

kitchenaid-blender-1

I made the smoothie in our new KitchenAid Green Apple 5 Speed Blender.I LOVE the green color and I love the blender. It makes smoothie making a breeze! And yes, it crushes ice. You don’t even have to shake the blender. It does it all on it’s own. And you won’t find any chunks of spinach in your green smoothie either. The KitchenAid Blender works it’s magic and really makes a SMOOTH smoothie. I love our green machine!

Coconut-Green-Smoothie-6

To make the Coconut Green Smoothie, I combined coconut milk, plain Greek yogurt, spinach, a banana, a green apple, unsweetened coconut, and ice in the jar of our blender. I pushed liquify and let the blender go to town!

Coconut-Green-Smoothie-5

The results? A dreamy Coconut Green Smoothie. This smoothie is great for breakfast or a snack. I added a pinch of shaved unsweetened coconut to the top of my smoothie for fun! Coconut lovers will go crazy for this easy smoothie!

I shared my smoothie with Caleb and he loved it! Gotta love the green mustache! I guess the little pea likes green foods too! Yay!

  46. Love you recipes. Don’t have time to follow all the blogs I like. But my biggest problem is with American sites and companies who try to lure you with free gifts and giveaways, then in fine print to hidden (linked) terms and conditions say these are for US citizens only. THAT STINKS! I am a Canadian with American cousins. Even many US TV shows acknowledge us as “family” and their offers extend to Canada. You come up here for fishing, hunting, skiing; your companies come up here and take over Canadian companies … But we are almost ALWAYS excluded in your special offers! Why can’t you just say so UP FRONT! Why do we have to search out this information? What’s the big secret?

    1. You’re talking to the wrong crowd. So sorry you don’t have these items in Canada..with the same price tag. Wishing you happier days. Any blender will work. I mostly use a bullet, but there are many different companies that make a bullet-like blender, as in all blenders. I’m sure you can find something to fit your budget. 20 dollars US fir a magic bullet and 10 dollars for a knock-off.. “different brand.” GOOD LUCK..☘

  47. yumyumyum! thank you! will be making this soon!

(and in case anyone is interested- just to let you know if you didn’t already- unfortunately chobani uses gmo ingredients. i know lots of people don’t care one way or another about gmos, but i prefer to avoid them as much as possible, so just want to make sure if anyone else does too, then be sure to buy a usda organic or “gmo free verified” brand of greek yogurt.)

  48. I love starting my day with green smoothies, kale and spinach are my favorite greens and any fruit except bananas. I usually add Chai or Flax Seeds for the added fiber. Hope you are having a good weekend.

  49. Hi, just wanted to add a tip. I usually freeze my bananas so that when I make my smoothies I don’t have to add ice! I also freeze spinach, kale and grapes to add to smoothies. Love all your recipes. Thanks for sharing them with us!

  50. Une merveilleuse idée que d’ajouter un légume dans un smoothie sucré. Bien souvent, il passe inaperçu…

  51. This recipe does sound delicious. I do have one complaint, though. Why is it that smoothie recipes rarely come with nutritional information. For me it is important to know protein, Carbs, fat and fiber content but I have a hard time finding a recipe for a smoothie that gives this information.

  52. May I please share your recipe in my monthly newsletter? Very delicious! Of course crediting you appropriately?

  53. 5 stars
Tastes simply delicious and nutritious. Thank you for the recipe. Made it this morning my husband and myself loved it. This recipe is so helpful while trying to eat healthy.
