Two Peas and Their Pod

Cookie Dough Dip

Happy Friday! Who is excited for the weekend? My hand is raised high in the air. It is Super Bowl weekend and my birthday weekend! Yahoo! My birthday (the big 3-0) is on Sunday. I am honored so many people will be hosting parties to celebrate my big day:)  Josh and our good friend, Janette, are throwing me a special birthday/Super Bowl bash. I am looking forward to celebrating with good friends and good food. Josh and Janette are in charge of the party menu, but I am putting in a special request for this Cookie Dough Dip. It is easy to make and perfect for the big game.

If your Super Bowl menu is lacking a sweet treat, make this Cookie Dough Dip. The recipe comes from my food blogging bud, Jessica, who is a always coming up with creative and delicious recipes. I visit her site every morning and always leave hungry. The Cookie Dough Dip tastes just like chocolate chip cookie dough-genius, huh? You can serve it with graham crackers, apple slices, pretzels, or animal crackers. You can even serve it with chocolate chip cookies-there is nothing wrong with a double dose of cookies. There are only six ingredients involved and I bet you have them all in your kitchen right now. Make this Cookie Dough Dip this weekend. It is perfect for any party-birthday or the Super Bowl! For the recipe and step-by-step photos, visit Tasty Kitchen.

And don’t forget to check out our post with 46 Super Bowl Recipes for Super Bowl XLVI. There are lots of recipe ideas for the big game. And in case you need one more thing to celebrate this weekend, February 5th is also World Nutella Day. My birthday sure is a special day:) I am going to bake a batch of Chocolate Nutella Cookies to celebrate! Happy weekend everyone!

Happy early birthday! I hit the big 3-0 in a couple months too. Not really approaching this one with too much anticipation. In fact, mostly just whining about how I’m getting old. Cookie dough might help soothe me though :)

Ooh, the big 3 Oh! How fun that you get to do it on a Sunday and not in the middle of the week when you can’t celebrate properly. I have to admit 30 was hard for me, but 31 was wonderful. You really will love being in your 30’s, especially since you’ve got your act together so well and have such a good life. I really am excited for you.

  25. Emilie — February 3, 2012 @ 11:26 am

Hope you have a wonderful birthday Maria!

  26. I’ve seen this dip on her site, on pinterest, and pretty much all over and I keep wanting to make it. You may have pushed me over the edge. Beautiful photos!

  27. Mercedes — February 3, 2012 @ 12:17 pm

Happy 30th birthday and the dip looks so yummy! I need an excuse to make this because I certainly cannot just make it and leave it sitting around my house for me to devour all by myself!

  28. Diana — February 3, 2012 @ 12:41 pm

I have made another recipe with the same ingredients as this one before, but I used mini chips and did not melt the butter, then you roll it crushed Oreo crumbs. I think putting it in a bowl would be much easier and the melted sugar and butter would give it a different flavor. Thanks for the recipe and Happy Birthday!

  29. Happy Birthday! This dip is the perfect way to celebrate for sure!
My birthday is New Year’s Day, I always joke about everyone celebrating the day I was born :)
