{Giveaway} Thermador Wall Oven

*This giveaway is now closed! The winner is Kristen (#55). Congratulations! We will email you! Thanks to everyone who entered!*

Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen. It was a long process, but so worth it because now we have a dream Thermador kitchen. We love all of our Thermador appliances. It’s hard to pick a favorite. Josh loves cooking with the Star Burners, I love baking in our Thermador Ovens, and Caleb loves climbing into our Star-Saphire Dishwasher. And our built-in refrigerator column is pretty amazing too:) We love it all!

Thermador is the original luxury cooking brand and has been providing real innovations for real cooks for more than 75 years. Thermador recently launched a new Built-in Wall Oven and we are excited to be giving one away today!

Here are a few of the features of the Thermador Built-in Wall Ovens:

  • NEW SoftClose door ensures smooth closing of the oven door
  • Largest commercial style rotisserie with 12 pound capacity (Josh cooked our Thanksgiving turkey on our rotisserie last year-best turkey ever!)
  • Maxbroil® – Largest, most powerful broil element on the market
  • Massive Capacity – largest oven cavity at 4.7-cu.-ft.
  • Fastest preheat in the luxury segment (around 7 minutes)
  • Superfast 2-hour self-clean mode – fastest on the market
  • True Convection baffle system offers precise airflow for cooking on multiple levels without flavor transfer
  • NEW 2 Full Access® telescopic racks that hold up to 45 pounds and feature integrated easy-grip handles
  • No preheat needed – Industry leading Speed Convection system reduces cooking time by 30 percent
  • SoftLight – Powerful halogen light with automatic dimming
  • Advanced culinary modes – Warm, Proof and Dehydrate (We use the proof setting all of the time for pizza dough and breads and I just dehydrated a bunch of apricots-love these features!)

Amazing, right? And not only do Thermador Built-in Wall Ovens perform well, they are also esthetically pleasing. We love the clean and professional look of our Thermador ovens.

My favorite thing to bake is my peach pie in the summertime. Juicy, ripe peaches with a buttery crust and a RIDICULOUS brown sugar crumbly topping. So insanely bad, but so amazingly delicious.

I love to bake pies. In the summer, I make a strawberry-rhubarb pie that uses phyllo pastry for the crust (12 layers glued with butter and sugar). At the holidays, I bake “the pie”–a recipe based on a Pilgrim-era pie, whose cornmeal crust is filled with apples, cranberries, and dried currants. The pie takes at least 1-1/2 hours to bake and the aroma of baking pie crust and spices fills the entire house. And, I especially love to make pumpkin pies and continually test ways to improve upon one of great foods of fall–different recipes for the crust as well as the filling. I engage younger guests in garnishing the pie with delicate leaves shaped by cookie cutters. My guests can actually paint the leaves with food coloring. And, I have even found a surefire way to make a pumpkin pie without egg so my daughter and anyone else with an egg allergy can enjoy a big slice of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.
