National Food Bloggers Bake Sale
I am thrilled to announce that I will be part of the first ever National Food Bloggers Bake Sale, which is part of the Great American Bake Sale. We are raising money for Share Our Strength (SOS), a national organization fighting to end childhood hunger in the United States.
Food bloggers from across the country will unite to support the cause by holding bake sales in their states. Readers will have the opportunity to taste the baked goods from their favorite food blogs at each state’s bake sale location.
Utah is going to have TWO bake sales, one in Salt Lake City and one in Orem. I am organizing the Salt Lake City location and Becky, from Utah loves Cupcakes, is organizing the Orem location. We are a great team and super excited for this event. If you live in Utah, we hope you will come out and help us raise money for SOS.
The bake sales will take place on:
Saturday, April 17th, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Salt Lake City location-at Dan’s Market (1360 S Foothill Blvd)
Orem location- at Shirley J’s (15 East 400 South)
Thanks to Dan’s and Shirley J’s for hosting our bake sales. We really appreciate your support!

If you live in Utah, mark your calendars! We hope to see you on April 17th! Come and taste some of your favorite food bloggers delicious treats!
What should Two Peas and Their Pod bake for the sale? If you could taste one of our treats, what would you choose? Right now, I am thinking S’mores cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Cinnadoodles. Any other suggestions?
I will be posting more details as the bake sale gets closer, so stay tuned! Have a great weekend everyone!

Make blondies too!
A great cause but it would be too hard for me to choose one of your recipes.
Wow how cool you involved with this awesome fund raiser/bake sale. I will put the date on my calander. You never know, we may be in that area around then. I think your baked good selections sound wonderful. I was thinking about that bark you make too..that would be great with some spring candy mixed in!
good luck girl! I think you will have to make extras as I’m sure your stuff will go first!
See you there! Looking very forward to it!!!
You already know this but I am it and would love to help bake!
how cool! Wish I could come! You should make those oatmeal cookies with the lime, coconut and white chocolate! Those are awesome! As are your key lime bars. Ok…you could pretty much make anything and I’d buy it- you’re an INCREDIBLE baker!
You know I’m in! Thanks for organizing this.
what an awesome event. I just tweeted Becky to get in on the action, thanks!
p.s. my vote is the chocolate chip cookies
Sounds like super fun Maria! Wish I was going to be around for it.
I’ll be there! Love Share Our Strength–one of my favorite charities/organizations. Let me know if you need more bakers. I can bring along some goodies too! And after the bake sale everyone can relax that night at the SassyScoops Girls’ Night Out we’re planning. Whoo hoo!
YAY! Good for you! I’m doing the NYC one. Such a fantastic event!
What a great cause, hope you have fun baking
Good for you! Have a great time baking for your cause.
this is awesome! I am definitely going to check it out. Your blog is the place to go for all of the blogger fundraisers out there.
How fun Maria and a wonderful cause. Best of luck with the sale – with your goodies you will raise a lot!
How fun, I wish I was going to be there already. We’re actually half way to Utah right now for Spring Break, then moving in June. Sounds like yummy fun though. I’m all about the chocolate chip cookie!
I will definitely attend the Orem one! Sounds so fun. Unfortunately, although I consider myself a food blogger, none of my food is really good enough to sell. But I can defnitely bring my money, cause i love to eat!
Good luck with the bake sale. I’m sure you will raise loads of money because your treats always look super tasty.
Yea! Great cause! Can’t wait to be a part of it with you and the other wonderful bakers in Salt Lake. Thanks for organizing. You’re the best.
Oh man, what I would give to be in Utah now…
Good luck on the sale (I’m sure it will be a success, though).

Glad to see you were able to find locations! I’m sure your sale will be great… and your cookies will sell out in an instant. I’m tempted to drive to Utah for some!
If you need food donations, I’m totally in for the Orem location!

Deborah-thanks for your help! Email Becky from Utah Loves Cupcakes, I am sure she would LOVE your help! Thanks so much!
I wish I could participate, it sounds like so much fun! But I’m already providing baked goods to another charity event in SLC that day (what are the odds?). Hopefully next year!
By the way, I just recently discovered your blog…love it!
