1. Luckily, Maria had a filter on her really expensive camera lens because a naughty 18 month old got his hands on it. The lens was saved, the UV filter was not.
2. The other evening we had to run some errands and it had been snowing most of the day. I cleaned the snow off the windows of the van and loaded up the boys. I was ready to back out of our driveway and realized I dropped my phone in the back while buckling the kids. I went to turn on the interior lights, but accidentally opened the sun roof, which dropped about 6-8 inches of snow right on my head and Maria’s head. Caleb and Maxwell were cracking up, but Maria was not happy with me.
3. I love this commercial.
4. I want to go to Africa.
5. Good article on youth sports.

1. It’s February and that makes me happy! I love February because it is my birthday month, the Super Bowl, and Valentine’s Day! Lots to celebrate! If you need recipe ideas for the big game on Sunday, check out our favorites!
2. So I ended up getting sick, the boys gave me whatever they had last week. I was the last one to get it so hopefully we will all be healthy now…knock on wood!
3. Who watched Grease Live? I am a huge Grease fan so of course I was glued to the TV. I had fun belting out all of the songs. Fun fact-in high school I was Cha Cha in our Grease musical! 🙂
4. I love everything about this recipe…except that it’s not sitting in front of me!

11. My birthday is tomorrow and we are going to celebrate with cookie bars, but this cake might need to happen too. You can never have too many desserts!
12. I want one of these! Maybe a happy birthday present to myself? 🙂
Thanks for the love, Maria! Happy early birthday, I hope you have the sweetest day. Cookies are necessary.
Love the hair Maxwell.
Your story about the sunroof is funny, but as a driver, it is also worrisome to me. Â As a short person (barely 5’1″), it’s hard for me to clean off the top of my car (but I do the best I can), and I can’t even imagine trying to clean the snow off the top of a van, but it’s so important to do so. Â It’s a legit safety risk for all of the other drivers on the road when someone doesn’t clean off the top of their car (http://www.faithtap.com/5481/dashcam-video-proves-why-you-shouldnt-drive-with-snow-on-your-car/). Â I know it takes more time, but it really does make a difference. Â Thanks for considering it!
The snow incident made me laugh out loud at work!! Funny stuff!
great post! Love the commercial! and Maxwell’s hair is so cute! Happy Birthday Maria!!
Wow, that article about the kids basketball knocked me out. It’s supposed to be FUN. Not a fight to the death. Love that the dad and his boy are so aware of that fact.
My youngest sister was born on my half birthday. So each year on my birthday she got a little cake & vice versa. Maxwell is darling. Happy Birthday!
Oh how cute is she! Happy Birthdays
Bummer on the camera filter – glad it was not the lense…the pic of Maxwell’s hair is too cute! Hope Maria’s birthday was great:)
