  1. Oh the nightingale…. read it at the beach last summer. My husband and three kids looked over at me at one point while we were sitting in the sand playing and I had to hold the beach towel to my face and hug myself for about five minutes.  It is a very moving book. They were very worried about mommy several times that week.

  2. Huge Pat’s fan here…hoping they have a great game, especially in light of the info that has come out about Tom’s mom. He is known to be super close to his parents/family and I can only guess one of his motivations will be to make his mom proud.
That is a fun bathtub picture…the boys like they are i n a bubbly mini pool!
Thanks for the pasta link…I am always looking for “lighter” pasta options.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Maria .
    LET”S GOOOOOOO, PAT’s!!!!!

  3. Oh my goodness!!  You have chosen a winner with The Nightingale!!  If you like historical fiction, this one is fantastic.  I’m partial to Kristan Hannah as an author but she has outdone herself with this book.  I hope you will like it as much as me.

  4. Love your tub and your bathroom floor.  What materials did you use?  Do you have other photos.

what is your counter top material in the chic. smoothie photo?

  5. Hey y’all- great post! Happy early Birthday Maria! My sister’s Birthday is Saturday! Love the pic of the boys in the tub! So funny!!

  6. I loved The Nightingale! I’m considering it for my book club, but not everyone likes WWll historical fiction as much as I do. It is an intense read at times!

  7. The Nightingale is a great book. I read it and recommended it for my book club and everyone loved it.
Have a wonderful birthday! Go Pats!

  8. I LOVE that book! I recommend it to EVERYONE. Get the tissues ready! Put The Glass Castle on your list next!

  9. Have you started teaching him and noticing that he is having too wide of a stance already? I tried using this when I taught ski school one year and found it to be more of an annoyance for both the student and myself. I found that I couldn’t teach side stepping or have him do a penguin walk (when the toes are out and heels together, opposite of the pizza) which is useful when having to make some steps up hill. It also prohibited him from being able to learn how to skate, which is useful in the cat track areas. If you don’t mind those times and going right into the down hills, it might be useful for you though! Good luck!

  10. Wonderful post! We are linking to this particularly great content on our website.
