It was a bit run-down, but we had great adventures there. 83. Favorite family vacation: probably the family excursion to Beijing. We spent several days doing the typical tourist stuff then spent a day at a Chinese amusement park. Our tour guide was fascinated because he’d never been to one before and it was “too expensive” for a Chinese income. (It was about $8/person entrance fee.)

  149. When my mum, step-dad, 2 little sisters & I rented a beach house with my uncle, aunt & 2 cousins down in Top Sail Island, North Carolina. We are from PA, so the drive down was a bit much, especially since I was stuck in the back seat between two car seats, but my grandparents came to see us on their way back from Myrtle Beach. There was a family in the house next to us that were from Switzerland, we had a cookout, had a water balloon fight & I got to have frosted flakes for breakfast every morning, wasn’t allowed to do that at home!

  321. We love going to Disney World, but haven’t been to Disney Land since I was about 2 years old (which was over 40 years ago :-))

  322. My favorite family vacation was when I went to China to visit my grandparents. It was 14 years since my mom last visited her home country.

  323. I need this! We are planning our very first trip to Disney for April and I can’t believe how expensive it’s going to be!

  324. Vacations are a JOY! Some of the best family memories were made on road trips! Our best family vacation was probably when we drove from Seattle Wa to a tiny town named San Blas, Mexico. It was a huge drive full of adventures. And we brought gifts to all the children there. But another favorite family vacation tradition we use to have was going to Disneyland every 4 years with our extended family. We all would wear family tree shirts and were called “the tree people” by all th workers. My husband has never been so I am crossing my fingers!!!

  325. My favorite was… don’t really have a fav. 5 kids in the fam and not much money = lots of staycations 😉

  326. Camping always wins as the best family vacations. Its awesome to be able to make family memories every summer. 🙂

  327. I’ve never met a trip I didn’t like, but I think my favorite family vacation was to Kauai. It was amazing!

  328. My first husband died so Father’s Day was a difficult holiday each year SO~ I took my kids to Disney or another (Great America) amusement park every year so that they would be celebrated! It really helped all of us!

  329. My favorite family vacation was a few years ago when we went to Mexico. It wasn’t the place that made it the best, it was the fact that it was the first time we bonded with my brother and I as “grown-ups.” We all just seemed to connect in a new and deeper way with a better understanding for each other. It was nice 🙂

  330. My recent favorite was an all-inclusive trip to a resort in Cancun. FAB! That was just me and the hubs. With all the kiddos, there’s nothing better than Disney!

  331. My faveorite family vacation was a roadtrip that me, my sister, my mom, brother, and my son took from kansas to oregon in the summer. it was amazing!

  332. My favorite family vacation was a trip to Hawaii! We went on an amazing kayak/hiking trip to a waterfall where we got to swim under the waterfall.

  333. Myrtle Beach. My mom, dad, brother and sister drove from Fallsburg, Kentucky to stay a week at my oldest sister’s house and visit the beach. This trip was my first beach visit. I was 13 years old.

  334. My favorite vacation was when my family went to Disney World (in Florida), we all went to universal studios too! I loved all the rides.

  335. Growing up my family vacations included things like a road being washed away in Bryce Canyon and us almost running out of gas, etc. It was always good to be with family even though crazy things seemed to always happen. With my kids, my favorite vacation has been to go to Washington DC and Baltimore while we were living on the East Coast.

  336. My favorite was our week in Ashville, North Caroline visiting the Biltmore and all the sites in and around the areas

  337. I loved our family trip to NYC years ago! We saw the Lion King on Broadway, and of course, did most of the touristy stuff. We would love to go back one day soon!

  338. Would love to bring my grandchildren to
Disneyland. Favorite vacation was to Mt. Rushmore and then to Yellowstone Park.

  339. I remember vacationing to California when I was 5 and visiting Disneyland. I remember the teacups and the flying dumbos and the mountain with the tiger in it… and that’s about it.
