  1. SO excited that This Is Us is back – I don’t want to give anything away for those who haven’t seen it…but the end had me totally sobbing. But I feel like that happens with every episode?? Haha!

  2. Hurray for coming to my home, Seattle! Top Pot is always good, check out Rachel’s Ginger Beer, I love Serious Pie for pizza. Typical Seattle though – gorgeous today, rain comes back tomorrow. So pack a rain jacket!
(If you are into theatre, Something Rotten is on tour at the 5th Ave theater until Oct 1 – highly recommend! It’s hilarious. Plus the 5th Ave is a great piece of Seattle history.)

    1. If you are getting out of the downtown area, Coyle’s Bakeshop in the Greenwood neighborhood has great pastries; Delancy in Ballard for dinner.

  3. You have to go to Matt’s in the Market in Seattle! We were there two weeks ago and it was my favorite meal. My scallops were fresh and the deviled eggs were delish!

  4. I loved walking along Alki in West Seattle. Also, it’s beven a while since I moved away but I loved dinner at Pasta Freska. Enjoy Seattle!

  5. When you come to Seattle take a ferry ride, the views are amazing and you might spot a whale. Bring a raincoat, we don’t use umbrellas here, and visit Pike Place Market it’s a historic public market that has been restored and revitalized. Fabulous produce and flowers! See the hammering man in front of the Seattle Art museum. Eat at any Tom Douglas restaurant, yum.

  6. They have a funny national park right in the middle of downtown Seattle. It’s called the Klondike Gold Rush National Park and we were so confused looking for it. It’s inside a building! But we loved it so much we went twice.

  7. Ellenos greek yogurt was amazing, and Il Corvo for lunch. Il Corvo is only open from 11-3, and you might need to wait in line to get in, but delicious homemade pasta!

  8. Head to Phinney Ridge/ Greenwood for Red Mill burgers and shakes… or, better yet, visit the location in the Totem House near Ballard Locks. Plus, you can continue out along Shilshole to Golden Gardens park to walk or catch the sunset on the beach. If you goat lunch, hit Paseo across from the marina for amazing cuban sandwiches- cash only!

  9. hey y’all – great list! Happy Birthday Caleb! Love that cake. and the pic. All the food looks so yummy! Y’all have fun in Seattle!

  10. You’ll find amazing food wherever you turn in Seattle. If you have time check out Chihuly Glass and Garden next to the Space Needle. The best time to go is right around sunset. When they turn on the lights in the Glasshouse and gardens it’s magical. Take a ferry over to Whidbey Island if you’ve got time – it’s another gem. You’ll have a blast no matter what you do. Seattle is a great place.

  11. A quick hop, skip and a jump east of downtown is the quiet hidden gem neighborhood called Madrona. There you’ll find Bottlehouse, a fantastic little wine bar with terrific food, and Vendemmia, a delightfully incredible Italian restaurant with some of the best pasta, fish and vegetables I’ve had in the city. Have a great time!

  12. Happy Birthday to Caleb! Such a lovely cake! I enjoyed Wonder Woman too and I’m looking forward to seeing The Justice League. I love that bag…too bad it’s already sold out

  13. I live 30 miles north of Seattle and boycot going there. Look out for foul messes, needles, left behind by homeless. Seattle hates cars so if you take one downtown, good luck! The Pike Place Market does live up to it’s name. Boys would love the Ballard Locks.

  14. I LOVE chicken pot pie! It’s the best comfort food when the temperature drops here in Utah. I have a great recipe that I make all the time, but I decided to try yours. Yours wins! My family loved it! Can’t wait to meet you next week at the Grillfriends Traeger cooking class!Â
