Three Peas and Their Pod

No, we aren’t changing the name of our blog, but we do have some exciting news to share. We are expecting our first baby! We are both beyond excited. I am 13 weeks along and due on September 24th. It has been really hard to keep this a secret from all of you. We wanted to make sure our little baby was healthy before we announced our good news to the world. We’ve been to the doctor twice and everything is looking great!

Josh has been doing most of the cooking and baking for the past month or so. The foods I have been eating are definitely not blog worthy–toast, cereal, Malt-O-Meal, crackers, veggie sandwiches, etc. I have been feeling a little better this past week, so hopefully I will be back to normal soon. I miss being in the kitchen.

We don’t know what variety we are having yet, but we will find out when the time comes. We will keep you all posted! And again, we are not changing the name of our blog. We will still be “Two Peas and Their Pod,” we will just have one more helper in the kitchen.

Maria Lichty

  1. Oh my gosh! Congrats to you, Maria and Josh! Your child will be extremely lucky to have excellent chefs as their parents!

  2. Congratulations Maria and Josh!! I know what you mean. I’m now 5 1/2 months along and it has been a struggle to be in the kitchen. One minute I don’t even want to look at the kitchen and the next minute I can only handle cereal. I’m finally getting back into the kitchen after a 4 month hiatus, but it’s hard. I still don’t have a ton of energy. Glad to hear that baby is healthy and doing well. I’m excited for you guys!

  3. Congratulations! I too am 13 weeks today and due on Sept. 23rd. Though this is my second not my first. Love every minute it of it, because it goes way to fast!!!! Babies are so much fun, and mine always helps me in the kitchen!!

  10. Congratulations!!! The name is still fitting….you and Josh are the Two Peas and the little one is now your Pod. πŸ™‚ Hopefully, you get to feeling better soon. Fresh ginger root seemed to help me a little. Try steeping it with tea.

  11. SWEET, Maria! Congratulations! How fun for you. Love the picture with the three peas and how one is smaller than the other two.
Now the fun begins. Hope you’re feeling much better soon. That first trimester can be a beast.

  14. Congratulations! There is nothing more precious than a new baby. That third pea is sure to be a great “helper” in the kitchen. I am often found making dinner entirely one handed because my helper thinks she needs to “help”. Hope the sickness goes away soon. Congratulations again!

  15. Congratulations!! Being a parent for the first time is the most amazing feeling (so I’ve heard) and even better than falling in love πŸ˜‰ (so I’ve heard). Enjoy this time and hope your health gets better soon!

  17. Congratulations!! That is wonderful news! I just had my first six weeks ago and she is sleeping in one arm as I type with the other hand. πŸ™‚ Here is a little something I heard recently: “Babies are a gift from God… Remember that at 3 AM.” πŸ˜‰

  21. Congrats! My baby just turned 2 and I can tell you it’s wonderful to be a parent. I’m glad you can eat veggie sandwiches – when I had morning sickness all vegetables tasted like dirt to me. I was so excited to be able to eat a salad again when it wore off!

  22. Congrats! I am so happy for you! Has anyone told you if your having a boy or girl yet?! Like family members or friends. My hubs can tell 100%, he’s weird. All the girls at his work go to him to ask, he’s always right. I also had a friend tell me I was preggers with a boy when I was like 8 or nine weeks, in baggy clothing, and I hadn’t even told her I was pregnant yet, people are amazing!

  23. The best to you both! In the best way possible, your lives will never be the same. You won’t know how you got along with out “them”! <3
