Brown Butter Mushroom Pasta is an easy weeknight dinner recipe that comes together in a snap with mostly pantry ingredients! The brown butter tastes amazing in this vegetarian meal!

Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain.

In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender and brown. Add garlic, thyme, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add the pasta to the skillet and stir in the reserved pasta water. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.

Transfer the pasta to plates or bowls and garnish with parsley, crushed red pepper flakes, and extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
