This classic Pasta Primavera is a wonderful mixture of colorful vegetables and a simple lemon Parmesan cream sauce. It is the perfect pasta recipe for spring and summer!

you'll need:

• Penne Pasta • Olive Oil • Asparagus • Yellow Bell Pepper • Broccoli Florets • Zucchini • Unsalted Butter • Shallot • Cloves

• Lemon Zest • Red Pepper Flakes • Vegetable Broth • Heavy Cream • Lemon Juice • Peas • Parmesan Cheese • Grape Tomatoes • Basil


Cook pasta in salted boiling water. Drain, then pour pasta back into the pot.


Sautee asparagus, peppers, and broccoli. Add in zucchini and cook. Season with salt and pepper and transfer the vegetables to a plate or bowl.


Melt butter. Add shallot and garlic and cook. Stir in the lemon zest and vegetable broth. Simmer. Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice.


Stir the peas into the pot with the pasta. Stir in cooked vegetables. Pour lemon cream sauce over the pasta and vegetables and stir. Stir in Parmesan and lemon juice. Stir in the tomatoes and basil. Season with salt and black pepper.


Pour the pasta primavera into a serving bowl or dish. Garnish with parsley, Parmesan, and crushed red pepper flakes. Serve.
