- Maxwell wanted to go fishing for his birthday so we got up early and went to Silver Lake. He caught 9 fish. It was a happy day.
- We’re having my football team over for breakfast this weekend. On the menu, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and plenty of bacon. This is the waffle maker we use.
- School starts on Wednesday for us so we are trying to fit in lots of fun right now. The summer went by too quickly.
- A good backpack for school.

- On the blog this week, a delicious zucchini recipe, a high protein breakfast or snack, and a super simple summer recipe!
- We had fun celebrating Maxwell’s birthday. He requested a chocolate chip version of this cake so I played around and it turned out great! I will post it on the blog soon!
- Cute casual dress. I also love this one!
- Tomatoes are SO good right now. I am currently loving everything caprese! Caprese salad, caprese sandwich, caprese garlic bread, and caprese orzo salad! I am starting to sound like Forrest Gump, ha!
- Love this dinnerware and flatware.
- Everyone has been talking about the show The Hunting Wives, so I tried an episode and it was a big no for me. I am thinking about rewatching The West Wing. It’s a classic!
- Loaded grilled potatoes? Sign me up!
- A good striped shirt and I love these sneakers!
- End of the summer activities! I can’t believe this is our last week before school starts!

I am not even sure how I stumbled onto your recipes but I am so happy I did. I needed more variety as my son and husband were starting to complain..haha I am not a great cook and appreciate that most of the recipes are easy and delicious. Thank you!

Ok, update! My tech person was able to figure it out. It was some issue with coding…something I don’t understand. It should be fixed from now on. No more strikethroughs! YAY!
I also tried the hunting wives and it was awful…. Too gross for me. I always love your this and that posts!
