- Good news, I got my cast off yesterday. Now, I just have to be in a sling for 3 months. My arm is bruised pretty bad and still swollen, but it’s progress.
- I took the boys fishing and Maxwell caught a nice sized fish. The only problem, the mosquitos love Maxwell. Any recommendations for bug sprays?
- New swim trunks for the boys.
- Tomorrow is the last day of school for us. Let the summer fun begin.

- On the blog this week, a super simple recipe, the best pasta salad recipes, and an easy skillet dinner!
- My peonies are at their peak!
- This summer sweater is in my cart.
- I love cherry season, anyone else? I am making this salad.
- A good summer reading list.
- I finished Off Campus, loved it and the soundtrack is good too! Now, I need a new show, what are you watching?
- 12 things to do this summer that feels like a Nancy Meyer’s movie.
- The prettiest blue top and eyelet dress (this eyelet skirt is good too).
- I can’t believe summer break starts tomorrow! This school year flew by! And Caleb will be in high school next year, definitely not ready for that!
- This home is beautiful!
- Easy breezy dress!
- New lip liner shades! It glides right on!
- Summer lovin’!
- I need to make more granola this weekend. My classic recipe is the best, but I am kind of in the mood for my lemon blueberry granola. Maybe I will make both!
Hi Maria! Do you have any advice about making the white chicken enchiladas ahead? I know you say you can freeze them but you can put everything on ahead, thaw, and bake?
Thanks! I make one of your recipes probably every week!
Don’t add any toppings until after freezing and baking. Is that what you mean?
Lovely Peonies! And we had cherries in a salad last week- Now I can’t wait to try your cherry salad recipe, Maria!
Cherries in salads are so good!
It’s not possible that Caleb will be in high school! Oh my gosh, where does the time go? I remember when you were pregnant with him. I told you how long I’ve been reading your blog.
I know! Thanks for being here for so many years!
Try Doterra Terra Shield for the bug spray. It works very well, and it smells great. A tad spendy, but worth every cent. You can find it on Amazon.
I will look it up! Thanks!
As far as bug spray we’ve been using 1Tbsp Vanilla to 1 C of water in a spray bottle. Sounds crazy but it really does work and you get to smell like a cupcake instead of deet. Hope that helps!
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
A really good show to check out is Anne With an E, on Netflix. My daughter recommended it while I was recovering from surgery and I absolutely loved it! I’ve been binging it and am now savoring the last episodes.
BTW, you’re SO lucky to have peonies in your back yard! I get mine at Trader Joe’s when they have them.
Thank you! I will check out that show. Peony season is my favorite!
