Maria’s Tips for Success!

  • Ravioli Flavors: I like to use spinach and cheese, but meat or plain cheese ravioli work well too! Use your favorite brand.
  • No need to thaw: You can use the ravioli straight from the freezer—no boiling required!
  • Customize it: Add a layer of cooked ground beef or sausage between layers if you want a meaty version.
  • Go veggie: Mix in some fresh or frozen spinach between layers for a little green. You can also add cooked mushrooms, zucchini, or peppers!
  • Crispy top: If you want a golden-brown, crispy cheese topping, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of the baking time.

Wow – will be making this tonight. I have a bag of spinach/cheese ravioli in the freezer as I like to do a few meatless meals each week. Just a half recipe as I am solo. Wondering if it freezes well as even half a recipe will be too much.

    1. Freezes beautifully! I make the full recipe, but split it into 2 8×8 foil tins for freezing. I’ve never tried half a recipe, but I suggest, perhaps, splitting the recipe into to foil loaf pans. Maybe that would work.

  2. Hi! Do you know 2 30-ounce packages frozen cheese ravioli – how many grams that would be? Thank you! HELP

This recipe was so Delish & so Easy ! I used Jumbo Cheese Ravioli and topped it with a Homemade Meat Sauce to make more of a Meal 🙂

Always make too much so this time I made it with half the ingredients in a LOAF pan! Worked very well. Excellent throw together for busy people! Highly recommended!!!

  5. If I bought the fresh ravioli from the Costco refrigerated section, could I bake this recipe without freezing them first?

  6. hi! can I use crushed tomatoes? instead of marinara. also if I can do I have to cook the sauce down before layering? thank u!

    1. Crushed tomatoes on their own might be a little bland. I would add some seasonings!

A winner. Tastes good (erm, better than my scratch lasagna) and the recipe easily adjusts for smaller servings (like for two older folks). Great in my cherished Corningware.
