Last weekend, we went to Pawhuska for my cookbook event at the Mercantile with The Pioneer Woman. I have known Ree since the beginning of my blogging days, so a LONG time, and she has always been so supportive and kind. She is one of my very favorite people.

The whole family traveled to Pawhuska, even my dad. It was a family affair! I did a fun Q&A with Ree, she asked me some pretty tough questions:) Then, I did a cooking demo and shared all of my cookie tips and secrets. The Mercantile made food from our cookbook and I signed books and made new friends. Everyone was SO nice and sweet. I appreciate everyone who took time out of their busy Saturday to come and hangout with us! And a HUGE thanks to Ree for having us! We had the best time!

Here are some pictures from our event and some pictures from our time in Pawhuska. If you haven’t been, you MUST go. It’s such a cute little town!

We stayed at the Boarding House and LOVED it! The accommodations are amazing! The decor is so fun, every room has a theme, and all of the details are perfection. The beds and robes are super cozy, the toiletries are fabulous, turndown service ends with freshly baked cookies by your bedside, and you wake up to beverages and pastries delivered to your room. Plus, the staff is super friendly! We enjoyed every second of our stay!

The Mercantile is filled with so many fun finds. I wanted one of everything!

The bakery is so stinking cute and the baked goods are delicious! I sampled quite a few, just to make sure:)

We ate at the Mercantile, bakery, P-Town Pizza, and Charlie’s Sweet Shop and ALL of the food was fabulous. I am still dreaming about the biscuits from the Mercantile:)

The boys love Charlie so visiting the sweet shop was a highlight for them! They also loved the ice cream cones:)

They had to wear their Charlie shirts to bed:)

The boys loved exploring Pawhuska. We went to a football game and they even found the famous swinging bridge!

Thanks Ree and Pawhuska for such a fun trip! We hope to be back soon! Find out more about the Two Peas & Their Pod Cookbook HERE!

  1. I think you need to do a fashion round up when your book tour finishes – you have been wearing the CUTEST outfits at every event. The red is especially perfect on you!

  2. Her store is the cutest and that pizza! Some of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Italy! My sister is obsessed with Ree so she insisted we go since we live in Joplin. Man, that town is in the middle nowhere! haha
