We just got back from our Hawaii vacation and it was a DREAM! We were in Maui for 6 days and 5 nights. It was our first time to Hawaii and it won’t be our last. We are addicted.

First, we stayed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. When we arrived, we were greeted with leis. Caleb loved them:) Aloha!!

The Four Seasons also had an assortment of treats waiting for us in our room. It didn’t take us long to devour them all.

Our room was spacious with a gorgeous ocean view. The bathroom was huge with a big tub, shower, and the bathroom even had a built in stereo. We played Hawaiian music the entire time:)

The Four Seasons Maui spoiled Caleb! They gave him a stuffed animal, a sand pail and toys to play with on the beach. They also gave him sponges for bath time, using the letters in his name. Too cute!

The Four Seasons is very kid friendly. They have a kid program, Kids for All Seasons. Caleb is too young, but we took a tour and I wish I was still a kid. They do so many fun activities with the kids.

The flowers on the grounds were so pretty. Loved all of the orchids!

I spent some time at the adult serenity pool. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The pool has an underwater music system and four bubble loungers. You can also get a massage in the personal cabanas.

Look at that view! Paradise!

We had perfect weather the entire time. I loved watching the palm trees sway in the breeze.

The Four Seasons also has a Waterfall Pool that is fun for the kids. Caleb loved going down the slide.

Four-Seasons-Maui11

Every morning the Four Seasons Maui offers complimentary outrigger canoe trips. Josh went out one morning to learn about the culture behind the outrigger canoe.

Four-Seasons-Maui12

He loved it. He spotted several turtles. The Four Seasons also offers complimentary yoga on the beach every morning. They are having a yoga retreat in February that I really want to go to. Maybe I can go back:)

We loved watching the sunset from our balcony. We were also able to watch whales from our room. So fun!

The breakfast buffet at the Four Seasons Maui is phenomenal. They have an omelet bar and you can order pancakes, French toast, and waffles. They also have a large selection of fresh fruit, meats, pastries, breads, and cereals. Caleb loved the yogurt parfaits with berries.

The banana fritters were tasty, such a treat! My favorite part of the breakfast was the coconut syrup I poured on my French toast. Amazing!

We spent a lot of time on the beach. Caleb enjoyed playing in the sand and LOVED the ocean.

Caleb kept saying ocean, ocean! He was not afraid of the waves at all. He had so much fun in the water. He could live on the beach!

Parenthood fans, did you watch the season finale? I won’t spoil anything, but the final beach scene was filmed at The Four Seasons Resort Maui. It was so fun seeing my favorite show at the resort we just stayed at!

The Four Seasons Resort Maui really is paradise! We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks for everything. And stay tuned, I will be doing another post about our Ultimate Romantic Dinner on the beach!

Disclosure: The Four Seasons Resort Maui hosted us, but our opinions are our own.

  1. GORGEOUS photos, Maria!! It truly looks like paradise and that breakfast buffet sounds amazing!! Must try!! 🙂

  2. I can’t believe they hosted yall- both they and you are so lucky! What an INCREDIBLE resort. I went to hawaii twice when I was young (we lived near san francisco so it was close)…definitely the best vacations I’ve ever been on

  3. Looks like such a great vacation! We stayed in Lahaina in Maui for a little over a week for Christmas 2011. It is such a beautiful place and we can’t wait to go back again one day.

I could totally go for one of those banana fritters for breakfast this morning as well!

  4. It sounds like you have a wonderful vacation and retreat from the real world. What a wonderful read. Look forward to reading more.

  5. Wow, what an amazing trip! We’ve been to Maui twice and both times have considered moving there. Seriously 🙂

  6. Four Seasons are one of the best hotels. They don’t miss a trick. Sounds like you had a wonderful time and very fortunate that they hosted you. Caleb looks like he had a wonderful time.

  7. Great pics!! My sister lives in Maui, in Hana to be exact. My husband and I haven’t had the chance to visit yet (airline fees for 2 adults and a 3 year old..expensive!!) but I know we’ll love it when we get there and I’m sure we won’t want to leave either. 😉 On these snowy days we’re having, your pictures help to warm me up!

  8. Looks like an amazing trip! Hawaii was my top honeymoon destination but it just wasn’t doable, but I hope to go soon!

  9. Oh Maria, this takes me back to my honeymoon. So glad y’all had such a wonderful time, although I had no doubt that you would. And I believe Caleb’s new stuffed friend is a native Hawaiian nene, right? Super cute. And I love that picture of your two boys in the surf. 🙂

  10. wow this looks amazing!!!!! you are so lucky for the four seasons to have hosted you. My fiance and I spent last night looking at different resorts in Maui. Unfortunately the four seasons is a little out of our budget. We have also been considering the Grand Wailea which I believe is next door….not sure if we can afford it yet…but we’ll see! we hear so many wonderful things about hawaii.

  11. We are in maui right now!. We go to the beach in front of the four seasons/ grand wailea all the time. I’m happy you enjoyed the paradise found here maui. Its good you were here during the humpback whale season, they are so fun to watch. Did you go to a luau? Go snorkelling?

  12. Looks like fun. I need to come up with a fun blog, figure out how to make it popular, and get some cool hotel stays. Do you have any words of advice?

  13. What a fun trip, Maria! Hawaii is on our must-see list but it might take a few years yet, especially to stay somewhere like the Four Seasons (although, the idea of the kid program makes me think our five kids would love it as much as we did!). Beautiful photos!

  14. Loved this post! We spent our honeymoon at the Four Seasons in Wailea and it was perfect!!! That was a little over 7 years ago so this post was fun to read. We do watch Parenthood and I was wondering if that was where part of the season finale was filmed, but I wasn’t sure. Thanks for letting me know 🙂

  15. Oh I know you had a perfect vacation!! My daughter got married on Maui a few years ago and we had dinner that night at the Four Seasons. So very beautiful.
I went again and my husband and I stayed at Grand Wailea! Maui is so fantastic. We are going to Kauai in July……..heaven on earth!

    1. The Four Seasons really is paradise. How fun you had your daughter’s wedding dinner there!

  16. Well, I am a little partial to all things Maui, having lived here for the past 15 years.
Beyond having the best bike shop on the island, we have been privileged to host a pro cycling camp with the Four Seasons every year and it has become our all around favorite resort to recommend. They can accommodate every aspect of your family life, even your dog (if you are local or have a service dog). I am so glad you were able to see such a beautiful part of the island. Hopefully, you were able to enjoy other parts of Maui too. The north shore has great little towns and the best surf around! Our cycling is phenomenal too… like riding up the crater, NOT coasting down! And the food…divine!!
Funny but, as I have connected to your blog through Pinterest, I have seen more than a few similarities… how cool that you have had a Maui day!! Much aloha and A Hui Hou Kakou!!

    1. I wish we would have had the chance to meet! We loved Maui and the Four Seasons. We hope to come back!

  17. Im so glad you had fun. I love that resort. My husband and I stayed there on our honeymoon after being married in Wailea. So amazing. I didnt know that about Parenthood. Love it.

    1. What a great place to honeymoon! We loved our time at the Four Seasons and want to go back already!

  18. I probably would have stalked you guys for an autograph if I knew you were coming! I live on Maui (obviously) and I’m a huge fan of your blog! Your recipes have made transitioning my family to healthful foods a (for the mkst part…)pleasant process!

    1. You should have stalked us! We would have loved to meet you! Hopefully we can come back and soon:)

  19. What an absolutely perfect vacation! Who wouldn’t love to spend a little time in paradise? Sounds like everything from the room to the ocean to the food was just perfect.

  20. Never been to Hawaii! It’s on our agenda for sure 🙂
And seriously, I can’t STAND all those pictures of Caleb..I just want to eat him up!

  21. Wow, looks like a dream! Thanks for sharing the gorgeous photos and all the details of the hotel… I’ll add it to my “hopefully someday” list! =)

  22. What a fabulous vacation destination …. gorgeous!

It was a joy to view your photos and read the captions. It brought warmth to my heart (and my bones – we currentyl have sub-zero temperatures at this precise moment!)

  24. We were two times in Hawaii, both on a Four Season’s, the first time we wer on Big Island, and the second on Maui. Yes, wonderful, hope you can make Big Island next time, you will love it. And if you can, next time you go there try the chocolate souffle, after that you will nto order it any other place 🙂

  25. What a fabulous trip! I would love to visit Hawaii one day, but I have to get over my fear of flying (never been on a plane)! I have to say after the 12 below zero weather recently, Hawaii looks better and better!

  26. Oh my what a lovely trip! We went to Maui last year (no Four Seasons though! ha) and I dream about it every day. I cannot wait to go back. What a fabulous opportunity!

  27. So happy you had a wonderful time in paradise. Last year we bought a condo on Kaanapali Beach and Maui has always been our favorite place to enjoy and relax. You will go back–it gets better and better! Maui will call you back!

  28. This is so so awesome. I am so happy you got to experience the magic of Hawaii. Wailea is my favorite area. We will have to visit the Four Seasons next time 🙂

  29. GORGEOUS! I love Parenthood — wondered where that scene was filmed too. Small world. Thanks for sharing this beautiful spot.
