  1. Let me tell you this is the greatest recipe I have ever tasted, and so easy to make. I did add fresh basil and the pot is almost empty. So I will make more today. Thanks for recipe.

  2. whoop! I’m always excited for football (even though my pats are out 🙁 ). Pasta makes soup even more fabulous. Enjoy the games

  3. That soup look delish…I sometimes sub in tortellini for regular pasta in pasta salad…and people always love it. Never thought of putting it in soup! Yum 🙂

  4. Mmm…this looks so perfect and delicious! I’m adding it to my recipe list, as soon as I make your lentil soup with sweet potatoes. 😀

  5. What a great looking bowl of soup! It looks so good, my sister in law called to make sure I had seen it. Hint, hint, I think she wants me to make this for her!

  6. This looks delicious. I was planning to do Chicken Tortellini next month, and I can’t wait to try this recipe for it. Where do you get the tricolor tortellini? I’ve only found solid color at our grocery store.

  7. This looks so good! Love the colors, so bright & fresh. Tortellini soup has been on my ‘want to make list’ for a while now, these photos have cinched the deal, I must make it soon!

  8. This is the ONLY thing my boyfriend makes. Except, his is simply frozen tortellini and broth. And he only makes it when he’s sick. For himself. 😉

  9. GO BEARS!! I’ll think I’ll be adding this beautiful soup to the game-day menu! 🙂 Miss you my beautiful friend!!

  10. What a warm, wonderful soup. This look so comforting and absolutely delish! I’ll have to give this a try!

  11. A Bears fan in Utah? Whaoo! I live in northern Illinois and there has been nothing but talk of the game all week. I am surrounding by fans of both teams…but GO BEARS!!! Definitely will be making this soup for the game!

  12. I’ll admit that I’m a Packer fan through and through (born and raised in WI), but I don’t choose sides when it comes to soup. It’s all good! Might try making something like this with gluten-free noodles in lieu of tortellini…a hearty noodle vegetable soup is just the ticket in this weather! Have fun watching the game, no matter who wins. 🙂

  13. I’m rooting for the Bears! Perfect and gorgeous soup for this chilly weekend. I hope you have a lovely weekend Maria:)

  14. What a pretty soup! But the real reason I’m here…well, I made your streusal topped pancakes for supper tonight. They were the best pancakes I’ve come across in a very long time! Wow…I could eat them all over again! Thanks for a great recipe…I can’t wait to make these for guests 🙂
    love,

  16. This soup looks so good! It is definately soup weather here in Marylnd!

I am excited for football, too! Even though the Ravens are out, I can’t wait to settle in today and root for the two teams I hope will make it to the Super Bowl. One of the teams I am rooting for is the Bears! I heard that if they make it to the SB, President Obama will attend the game. He would be the first sitting President to ever attend the Super Bowl, which would be quite historic and very cool! Best of luck to the Bears today! 🙂

  17. This soup might just be delicious enough to tempt me to watch football. 😀 It looks fantastic! I’m avoiding pasta on my diet, but I’m adding this to my list of Must Make Meals for when I reach my weight-loss goal. Thanks!

  18. Yum, tortellini is the best! The game was a big disappointment 🙁 I was rooting for the Bears too after my Pats got knocked out. Next year maybe…

  19. Maria, this tortellini soup looks awesome. It would be great for our week in Telluride, my daughter says she is craving this type of pasta – so pretty!

  20. This soup sounds wonderful. I’m a big bears fan too and couldn’t be more disappointed in how they played yesterday. What a mess. Raised in IL I am a diehard Bears fan (even though I live in Packer country), but what an awful display that was!

  21. What a pretty soup Maria! Love all the colors. It looks delicious. Sorry about your Bears though. Maybe next year?
Have a great time in NYC!
