- The boys are excited for the new season of Percy Jackson, we watch it as a family. I just finished Chad Powers, I liked it.
- Do you like eggnog? I don’t usually drink it, but Maria made these cookies and they are really good.

- Winter white cardigan and sweater. And this pretty set of earrings would make a great gift.
- This sparkle cake! So fun!
- Ways to channel Nancy Meyers this winter.
- The perfect denim shirt and jeans.
- I just got my new planner for 2026!
- I am loving pomegranates right now! I add them to salads and for a little treat, add them to Greek yogurt with some chocolate chips! YUM!
- These beautiful ballet flats are on my wish list.
- Simple ways to get ahead of holiday stress. A good reminder:)
- Pretty drinking glasses and fun potholder set.
- I have to get the stitches out of my mouth today. If you missed it, I got 10 stitches in my mouth from a disaster dentist appointment right before Thanksgiving. I am not excited. It’s been a rough couple of weeks.
- I hope to do a big baking day this weekend. I am going to stock my freezer with dough balls and cookies! On the agenda: Andes Mint Cookies, Toffeedoodles, and Easy Sugar Cookies. I also want to make candied pecans and Rolo pretzels.
We used to make turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes every holiday. In the last 5 years things have changed. I now roast chicken and my brother makes smoked brisket. My mom brings bean salad and maybe rice and peas (Jamaican) for a side. I also do roasted sweet potatoes with marshmallows because my kids love that side. I try to pick things that people really enjoy eating. And of course there has to be all the cookies!!!
Sounds like the perfect meal!
Thinking of you, Maria~ what an ordeal you are going through. Best Wishes that this will be over soon. Holiday baking round 2 starts for me today for gift deliveries to co-workers next week. Round one was making cookie balls for the freezer a few weeks ago. Can’t wait to make your new Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bark and your Caramel Corn for gifting treats too.
Thanks so much! All of your treats sound amazing! So nice of you to share the love!
I hope the stitches come out easily. I feel for you. I’m afraid of dentists. Feel better. quickly.

I am so so sorry you have had a bad experience with the dentist!!!!! Hope you recover quickly!!
Thank you!
Also being a baker, Tyler Florence’s “My Big Fat Chocolate Chip Cookie” is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I’ve come across.
When using the Toll House recipe, when you take the cookies out, they are all plump and beautiful looking, then they start sinking in the middle. I’ve tried baking longer only to have the bottom be too hard. This recipe, the cookies stay nice and fluffy.
I use this recipe for my family, but also at the restaurant I work at to make Ice Cream Chocolate Chip cookies that our customers love.
I know you have your own recipes, but thought I would share.
Sara
