  1. We bought basically every piece in Crate and Barrel’s Al Fresco II set a few years ago, and love it. I was so tired of replacing expensive wood sets and cheaper metal sets. The C&B stuff has held up so well to our Midwestern seasons, and I like that the cushions (1) are thin so they dry out pretty quickly and (2) don’t cost a fortune to replace, so we can update them when we want.

  2. Oh, I did NOT like that thing about the 5-year-old stealing his parents’ car. Unfortunately, it is being treated as a funny kid stunt and some well-meaning guy even gave him a ride in a real Lamborghini! That kid is in for some pretty bad problems if he is doing things like that and getting lots of recognition.

  3. I just finished reading When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O’Neal. I loved it! I got it on Kindle Unlimited, so I could listen to it or read it on my Kindle. I loved listening to it. The reader was fantastic at the different voices, and it was just really calming listening to her.

  4. I am the leader of a cookbook club in my library. I have used many recipes frmm your book, would love to win a copy of your friend’s cookbook.

  6. Love the picture of the boys – they are so stylish! I just finished The Giver of Stars by JoJo Moyes. I would recommend it as well as The Two Lives of Lydia Byrd by Josie Silver. Happy Birthday to Josh and Happy Mother’s Day to you!

  7. I’ve been lacking motivation to read lately, but I have Shift (by Hugh Howey, the second in the Silo trilogy – I already read the first and loved it but having a hard time getting into it – kind of a crazy apocalypse story) next on the list, and I also have Hidden Figures (by Margot Lee Shetterly – a bio about four women, three of them African American who worked for NASA when they launched astronaut John Glenn into orbit) which my book club read, but I fell behind on. Still plan to read it some time.

  8. I have wanted to plant hydrangeas but am nervous about the lack of sun in my yard. How much sun does the area where you planted your hydrangeas get each day? Thanks so much!

  9. The boys are SO cute! Love the suits. Hope Josh had a great Bday and you a Happy Mother’s Day! Planning to make the tacos this week, yum!

  10. There’s a place in Orem on State street called “Huish” we bought a patio 2 seat glider about 12 years ago and it has been awesome. It was worth every Penney as we still are using it today, as I remember they had beautiful outdoor furniture.
