  • We have been spoiled with some beautiful ski days.
  • Well, we have our Super Bowl teams. Not the teams we were hoping for, but it should be a good game.
  • Have you watched the game show The Floor? We have been watching it as a family. It’s pretty fun.

Hers

  • On the blog this week, a decadent dessert that is surprisingly gluten-free, one of my favorite meals, and a 20-minute dinner winner!
  • I got a bad stomach bug yesterday, it was not fun. I am on the mend, slowly but surely. I am going to take it easy today.
  • I started watching Death and Other Details on Hulu. It’s a murder mystery show.
  • I went to Trader Joe’s…before I got sick. Here is a peek into my cart. What are your favorite TJ’s items right now?

  • Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, check out my gift guide!

  11. Maria, I hope you feel better soon! Your cookies are the BOMB! Trader Joe’s is around the corner from us, aren’t we lucky? It’s my go to store. I love frost sugar cookies, I like Lofthouse cakey sugar cookies, also!

  12. Good morning Maria,
    Just an observation that the foods in the grocery cart are heavy on the oxalates, which over time can lead to oxalate toxicity. While this does not usually effect young people, it can be detrimental in older people. Just a thought but maybe a few more recipes that are low in oxalates would be very helpful to people who are on low oxalate diet.
    I work for private health clinic that focuses on Geriatric medicine this is a very big concern for us with our older (50+) women patients. Just food for thought.
    My family really enjoy your recipes however I have adapted them to be lower in oxalates.
