  1. Hi Maria!
We live in Maine so right now we are tilling our soil and doing soil tests to make sure our soil is up to par. We will not plant until the end of May. As far as what we’re planting the list is as follows; eggplant, summer squash, zucchini, tomatoes (everything for ratatouille), beets, sugar pumpkins, ghost pumpkins, hybrid jack o’lantern, spinach, Swiss chard and brussel sprouts. In the Fall we’ll plant garlic.

We are vacationing in the Maine mountains this year. The cabin we are renting is very close to the Appalachian trail so we’ll be hiking, swimming, golfing and simply relaxing.

    Happy planting!

    Diane

  2. This doesn’t help your request for summer plan ideas but it did make me wonder whether you had ever considered doing a Utah family trip itinerary post. Maybe include links to some favorite destinations, activities, restaurants, stores, etc. Just a thought but I’m sure it would be well-received (by me anyway LOL). You are already a great spokesperson for how beautiful Utah is.

  3. The creami fantastic! I use it to make smoothie and açaí bowls all the time!!! Buy extra containers so you can batch and freeze and then just pull them out and run the creami (it is loud!) – the texture is fantastic!!! PS – my daughter made and brought your oatmeal peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies to a college event this week and she said everyone loved them!

  4. This summer we’re flying into Boston and then heading to Portland, Camden and ending up in Acadia over ten days. Other summer vacations we’ve done in recent memory that were huge hits were basing in Telluride and hiking and hanging out there while also doing day trips to 4 national parks (Mesa Verde, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Arches and Canyonlands); and a trip where we spent one day in Portland, then three days in the Columbia Gorge hiking to all the waterfalls there, and ending up with several days in Canon Beach, wandering the Oregon coast from there.
