San Diegan here. ideas for your trip here:
Beach, of course.
Balboa Park, many museums and great views of downtown and the San Diego bay.
Old Town San Diego – the Whaley House is haunted, historical and fun for kids. Eat at Miguel’s, their jalapeno white sauce is to die for, all food is good.
USS Midway Museum, tour a Navy Ship. The boys will love it.
Julian, a small town in the mountains, about 1 hour out of town. Famous for apple pie, I like Apple Alley the best, good sandwiches too. Lots of hiking nearby but it gets hot during the day.
The usual zoo, Sea World and Legoland if you’re into that. Bring sweatshirts to Sea World, it can get cold.
Have a great trip!
This list is so helpful! Thank you!
I am planning to make the Strawberry Muffins this weekend as well. I made your Strawberry Bread last weekend and it was a HUGE hit! We all loved it so I may need to make that again this weekend instead of the muffins. I also made the Broccoli Salad. I have been enjoying it all week.
Had a good laugh when I saw the oven mitt. It looks like someone is picking Maxwell’s pocket.
Ha!
hey y’all- great list! Love the pic of Maxwell- that is so cute that he steals the oven mitts-ha Yummy food and cute clothes. Have a blessed day.
We visit San Diego a lot since our daughter lives there. There’s SO much to do, but the obvious first thing that comes to mind is the San Diego Zoo. Your kids will love it! Food wise, for the absolute best breakfast ever is Maddie’s in the Normal Heights neighborhood. It’s very popular, so a rez is a must! Hope this helps 🙂
Thank you so much!
Let’s go Mavs!!
Go Mavs!
Yay!
Yes, Josh. O’Keefe’s Working Hands rocks! Have you noticed that the Jazz use it?
Oh, awesome!
Just … love that green dress too. I think I saw a women with fuller figure wearing it and it looked great on her! Plus, the hydrangeas are in tall white pots – I need these pots to work with some holders that are used to drape over the deck – any theories on where they come from? Thanks!!
They were at a party I attended. I am not sure where they got them, sorry!
