I started with my favorite Easy Chocolate Mousse recipe. It is divine! Next, I added in chopped up brownies. You can use your favorite brownie recipe, but I highly recommend these fudgy brownies. They are my go to brownies!

Next up, is a layer of whipped cream! I added more chocolate mousse, brownies, and whipped cream. I also added brownie pieces on top for decoration…and you can never have too many brownies! I love the creamy texture of chocolate mousse and whipped cream…and when you bite into a rich and fudgy brownie chunk, it is a pleasant surprise!

I used mini jars to make my trifles because I love mini desserts. Aren’t they super cute?  You can also make one big trifle. Big or small, these trifles are to die for!

Instructions

  1. 1. In jars or a trifle dish, layer the chocolate mousse, whipped cream, and brownies. Repeat with a second layer of chocolate mousse, whipped cream, and brownies. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  2. Note-I didn't include measurements because amounts will depend on the size of jars or trifle dish you are using. Just make even layers!

  1. I make this using a slightly different recipe and you’re right you will be in dessert heaven! I LOVE the idea of putting it in jars!

  2. I love how easy this is. I used to make something similar when I’d spend a week at my grandma’s house. She wasn’t very trusting, so this is the only thing she’d let me make when I was a kid. But I never used brownie chunks…..what a great way to up the chocolate factor!

  3. These look amazing! What a great idea, especially for Valentine’s Day. I love the idea of putting them in jars. That makes serving so much easier! Definitely want to try this recipe soon. Thank you for sharing!

  4. How long do you think that these will keep sitting on a table? I am wondering because I would like to serve them at a party.
