Reviews of The Best Bundt Pans

1. Best Overall: Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Anniversary Bundt Pan

Nordic Ware makes my absolute favorite bundt pan, which I’ve had for years. It has a pretty fluted design that gives cakes a more elegant, professional look, and as long as you use cooking spray, they’ll pop out easily without sticking. Because of that, this is also super easy to clean with just soap and water (no scraping cake bits off of it!). I also LOVE that this design has handles to make it easier to take out of the oven with bulky oven mitts.

The Specs:

Dimensions: 10.5″ D x 10.5″ W x 4.5″ H

Weight: 1.9 pounds

Capacity: 12 cups

Material: Aluminum

Dishwasher-safe: No

Oven-safe: Yes

The Pros:

  • Easy to clean
  • Bakes evenly
  • Pretty design
  • Built-in handles

The Cons:

  • None

What Others are Saying:

Wirecutter, Better Homes & Gardens, and Food & Wine all named the Nordic Ware  the best bundt pan, and it has a 4.8-star rating from more than 6,000 reviewers on Amazon.

2. Best Budget: Wilton Perfect Results Premium Non-Stick 9.51-Inch Fluted Tube Pan

Best bundt pans: Wilton
Credit: Amazon

Wilton makes some of the best bakeware I’ve tried (I love its loaf pan, too!) and this bundt pan is no exception. It has a fluted design just like the Nordic Ware one (though it’s a little more subtle!), and I love that this one also has handles for lifting it out of a scorching oven. It has a nonstick coating, so the cake won’t stick to the pan, but I suggest using a cooking spray just to be on the safe side. The brand recommends washing it with soap and water, but it’s dishwasher-safe, so you can always toss it in there if you’re pinched for time!

The Specs:

  • Dimensions: 9.51″ D x 9.51″ W x 3.37″ H
  • Weight: 1.25 pounds
  • Capacity: N/A
  • Material: Alloy steel
  • Dishwasher-safe: Yes
  • Oven-safe: Yes

The Pros:

  • Easy to clean
  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Built-in handles

The Cons:

  • Design isn’t as pretty

What Others are Saying:

Better Homes & Gardens, Food & Wine, and Forbes all named the Wilton Perfect Results the best budget pick, and it has a 4.8-star rating on Amazon from more than 15,000 reviews.

3. Best Mini Bundt Cake Pan: Wilton Non-Stick Mini Fluted Tube Pan

I believe that everything is better in mini form! This mini bundt cake pan from Wilton is a great way to bake a dozen individual-sized desserts at once. I love the idea of using this pan for mini pound cakes to serve with fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream—voila, an easy strawberry shortcake! Each mold has a fluted design to create a pretty shape, and after letting them cool in the pan for a few minutes, the cakes pop out easily with just the right amount of browning.

The Specs:

  • Dimensions: 3.21″ D x 6.48″ W x 6.48″ H
  • Weight: 1.35 pounds
  • Capacity: 12 cups
  • Material: Alloy steel
  • Dishwasher-safe: Yes
  • Oven-safe: Yes

The Pros:

  • Easy to clean
  • Pretty design
  • Cooks evenly
  • Cakes remove easily

The Cons:

  • None

The Wilton Mini Tube Pan has a 4.7-star rating on Amazon from more than 6,000 reviews, and Southern Living also calls it one of the best mini bundt pans.

4. Best Silicone Bundt Pan: Aokinle European Grade Top-Level Cake Mold

You might be interested in a silicone bundt pan as a safer alternative to using bakeware with a nonstick coating that could wear down over time. Also, silicone is SUPER lightweight, so that’s a plus too! However, when using one, you may need to watch your cakes more closely and bake them for longer because silicone doesn’t hold heat the way metal does. But, if you prefer the material, this is one of the most popular picks on Amazon, and it’s affordable, so it’s the one I recommend giving a try. Plus, the cake is so much easier to get out!

The Specs:

  • Dimensions: 9.5″ D x 9.5″ W x 3″ H
  • Weight: 0.3 pounds
  • Capacity: N/A
  • Material: Silicone
  • Dishwasher-safe: Yes
  • Oven-safe: Yes

The Pros:

  • Very lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Easy to clean

The Cons:

  • Takes longer to bake
  • Doesn’t bake as evenly

What Others are Saying:

Southern Living named the Aokinle  the best silicone bundt pan, and it has a 4.5-star rating from more than 4,000 reviewers on Amazon.

Other Bundt Pans to Consider

casaWare Fluted Cake Pan

Ceramic cookware is nice because it retains heat well to give an even bake, and it won’t leave any kind of metallic taste behind like some metal options will. I think the main advantage to them is that they can keep food warm even outside of the oven (thanks again to its great heat retention!) and look pretty to serve food in, but these aren’t qualities that matter for a bundt cake that you need to turn out once it cools, so it wouldn’t be my first choice. Still, if you like ceramicware, this is one of the best options I found. The casaWare Fluted Cake Pan is available at Amazon for $23.99.

Nordic Ware Heritage Bundt Pan

This is another great option from Nordic Ware! There’s no doubt that its swirl design gives desserts a major wow factor, and aside from that, it has all of the qualities I love about Nordic cookware—it bakes evenly without over-browning and releases cakes easily. It’s also similar in price to the other Nordic option I recommended, so really, it’s all up to your preference in how the cake looks. The Nordic Ware Heritage Bundt Pan is available at Amazon for $37.93.

Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 9.5″

I can always rely on Cuisinart for making great kitchen tools and cookware, so I had to mention this inexpensive and simple option. It gives an even bake, releases cakes well, and cleans up easily. That said, for such a similar price, I recommend the Wilton one because it has long handles that make it easier to pull out of the oven. The Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 9.5″ is available at Target for $14.99.

Why You Can Trust Me

Hi, I’m Maria! My whole mission is coming up with tasty recipes and finding the best cookware and kitchen tools to help you make the breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert of your dreams! I’ve tested hundreds of kitchen items while trying out recipes in my own home, and that experience has given me some strong opinions on what you should buy for all of your cooking and baking endeavors.

When it comes to bundt pans, I know what I’m talking about—after all, I’ve made dozens of bundt cake recipes on the blog. My recommendations come from personal experience, which is why I’ve included ones I actually own and have used for years, along with options that have the qualities I’d look for if I were shopping for a new pan. For the picks on this list that I haven’t tested, I looked through reviews on retailers and editorial sites to make sure that other bakers could vouch for their greatness!

Everything to Know Before Buying a Bundt Pan

What to Consider Before Buying a Bundt Pan

Material: All of the qualities that make a bundt pan great (ability to bake evenly and release cakes easily) ultimately come down to the material. A metal pan distributes heat well enough to bake and brown a cake evenly, and it’ll start to lose heat quickly once out of the oven, so you can turn it out sooner. A ceramic pan can give the same even bake but will take longer to cool. A silicone pan has low heat conduction, which means it won’t cook as fast in the oven, but it’ll cool more quickly than metal, and you’re less likely to have issues with the cake sticking.

Nonstick: To find one that releases the cake easily, you can look for something with a nonstick coating, but I still recommend greasing the pan for extra assurance, so I’d put less stock in that attribute.

Design: While even a standard bundt cake is impressive, if you want to really WOW your friends and family, opt for a more intricate design. My favorite brand, Nordic Ware, offers so many incredible designs that create exquisite bundt cakes.

How Do You Get a Cake Out of a Bundt Pan?

A crucial step to turning a cake out in one piece is greasing the pan before you pour the batter into it. But once it’s baked, I recommend letting the pan cool for as long as the recipe you’re following recommends (or about 20 minutes if it doesn’t specify). You should be able to comfortably handle the bundt pan with your bare hands and if you can’t, it needs more time! Then, run a butter knife around the edges of the pan to separate the cake from the sides.

Put your cake dish face down on top of the open side of the pan, holding both at the same time, and flip so the pan is now on top of the dish. With the dish on the counter, start to lift up the bundt pan slowly and the cake should slide right out!

What is a Bundt Pan?

A bundt pan (also called a tube pan) is a round baking pan with a hollow tube at its center that creates a donut-shaped cake. I think they look super pretty and I love serving them for special events

How Do You Grease a Bundt Pan?

The first way to grease a bundt pan is to hold a cooking spray like Pam a few inches away and coat the entire inside. Another way is to dip a paper towel, cloth, or pastry brush into your cooking oil (something mild that’s good with sweets, like canola, vegetable, or coconut works) and swipe all around the pan until you’ve given it a thorough coating. Lastly, you could also use that same technique, but instead of cooking oil, use melted butter (just work quickly so it won’t re-harden).

What Else Can You Make in a Bundt Pan?

Believe it or not, you can actually make a ton of delicious dishes in a bundt pan! It’s not just for cake! I’ve seen people use it as a way to roast chicken or even bake lasagna. It can also act as a mold for jello. And while it’s not all that different from cake, you can use a bundt pan to make bread (I’m a huge fan of banana bread) instead of using a typical loaf pan.
