Confession, I really don’t like Crunch bars. They aren’t terrible, but they are not my favorite candy. So you are probably wondering why I am posting a recipe with them. Well, everything tastes better in a cookie and I love Crunch bars in these cookies!

I always try to buy candy for our trick-or-treaters that I don’t love…so I won’t sit and eat it all. Sorry trick-or-treaters! ๐Ÿ™‚ We always have leftover candy so then I am stuck with candy I don’t really like. That is when I am forced to bake cookies with the candy. You know, because eating candy in cookie form is so much better for you:)

For these cookies, I chop up Crunch bars and mix them in a cookie dough that has oatmeal, crispy rice cereal, and chocolate chips. The Crunch candy bars and crispy rice cereal keep these cookies crunchy, crispy, and SO good!

If you have leftover Crunch bars lying around after Halloween, make sure you bake a batch of Crispy Chocolate Chip Crunch Oatmeal Cookies! And if for some reason you don’t have any leftover Halloween candy, it is ok to go buy a bag of Crunch bars. These cookies are worth it! Or maybe just knock on your neighbors door and trick-or-treat a day late. I am sure they would be happy to share their candy!

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with a Silpat baking mat or parchment paper. Set aside.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • 3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together butter and sugars until light and creamy, about 3 minutes. With the mixer on low, add in the egg and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
  • 4. Slowly add in the dry ingredients. Beat until just combined. Stir in the oats, cereal, Crunch bars, and chocolate chips. Don't over mix. You don't want to crush the cereal too much.
  • 5. Scoop dough into rounded balls and place on prepared baking, about 2 inches apart. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden brown. Allow cookies to cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet. Move to a cooling rack and cool completely.

  1. Ive baked almost every candy (I thought!) into desserts but somehow have overlooked Crunch bars! And I love them and I know I’d love these cookies! pinned

  2. Oh my! I totally forgot about CRUNCH bars!! I loved them growing up, but I never see them around anymore.
Probably good because I would munch on ALL the Crunch bars. These look great. Pinned!

  3. Crunch bars are one of my favorites, behind the Reese cup of course! I’ve never actually made anything out of a candy bar because I usually eat them all first. However these look delicious and may make me break that cycle!

  4. I love how you just solved my leftover Halloween candy problem! I was freezing it, but these cookies are awesome. Was talking to lots of other moms and just learned this…..newsflash, that most moms only let their kids have 4-7 pieces of candy and throw out the rest of the candy in other a week… save them from themselves if nothing else. But this makes me feel bad and wasteful, you know, because candy is expensive. Love this option and I can freeze the candy and make these later too I bet.

  5. Happy Halloween, Maria! What a great way to use up leftover Halloween candy. You can never have too many cookies recipes ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I love this idea — I haven’t actually seen a crispy bar in such a long time — I used to LOVE them growing up!!

  8. These look great! Love the idea of throwing the crunch in there. I always buy chocolate candy because I’m just not a huge fan. I also got Justin’s organic PB cups and organic gummy bears this year. If I have any leftovers (which is doubtful in our crazy neighborhood haha) I’m definitely making these!

  9. I wish I had leftover candy to make all of these amazing looking recipes! ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

  10. I can never bake anything with Crunch bars because I eat them all! One of my favorite candy bars! These cookies need to happen!

  11. Crunch bars used to be my absolute favorite! I love that you added oats and extra chocolate and crispies. YUM.

  12. Omgsh! I almost forgot all about crunch bars. I bet they are fantastic in a cookie — especially a crunchy oatmeal one!

  13. Using rice krispies in cookies, now that’s just genius! I love the addition of Crunch bar pieces too! And oatmeal too, seriously, I just need to go make these ASAP!

  14. On your last few postings of recipes, you offer a way to print the recipes, but no way to save the recipes to my Ziplist recipe box. Are you no longer offering this option? I love your recipes and saving them to my Ziplist rather than printing them all out saves alot of ink and paper! Thanks!

    1. ZipList announced that they are ending their services. Sad!! We had to remove the save button. I am so sorry!

  15. I really do not know how to thank you, I am a great lover of Oatmeal Cookies and was looking for a recipe. I didnโ€™t wait any longer and tried my luck soon after stopping by your site. Guess what, it came out good!!
